Q: (19480)

Normally our outdoor LED displays are fixed installations but we have several that are mounted on the back of trucks. Over time the power connections start to lose contact creating more resistance and causing issues. These are gold plated contacts (TE Micro Mate-N-Lok) and I think vibration from the trucks causes fretting. Do you have a product that could help prevent this from happening?

Hello Michael,

Yes we do.
Our DeoxIT® D-series would be my recommendation, since the environmental exposure is high.
Our DeoxIT® Gold does a better job on fretting, however, it doesn't have the high deoxidizing/cleaning action as the D-Series does.

Recommended products (what I use most). Your needs may require different types of applicators.

D5S-6 (need more flushing action - slow evaporating solvent. Leaves 100% DeoxIT® concentrate on surface)
DN5S-6N (if you want non-drip and fast evaporating solvent. Leaves 100% DeoxIT® concentrate on surface)
PS-SS45T (for hard to reach areas)
D100L-2DB (brush applicator)
D50W (wipes)
