Q: (18564) I’m very nervous to use any chemical product on an ‘antique’ 1970’s era Moog synthesizer. However, the keyboard contacts as well as the ‘variable resistor’ knob pots all require cleaning – some feel sluggish to turn and have audible scratchiness when turned. Of all your products what would be the best and safest product to use – I’d prefer to keep the application of the chemical very ‘defined’ and avoid overspray. Thank you, Marked as spam

A: Hello Bill, With old equipment we normally do not recommend any spray or any product with solvents. Our recommendation would be to use one of our 100% sprays or liquids, DeoxIT® D-Series. Directions: Apply DeoxIT to ONE control and/or contact. Operate the device for several days. If no adverse effects, continue one at a time. If you require additional tactile feel on a control (fader), you can apply the DeoxIT Fader Grease, Part No. DFG-213-8G. Links: Regards, Marked as spam
