Q: (18369)

I am going to use this product on my electrical connections specifically the wiring for my turn signals, brake lights, & headlights.  My car is a 1976 Datsun 280 Z car, so it is 40 years old.  I have no idea if the wiring has been cared for, I have had the car only 2 years.  I am 74 yr old lady, so she is a blessing to me.  My 2nd Z car, the first was a 1971.  I want to do things right for her, but having little mechanic ability.

I have already purchased the DeoxIT® D-Series squeeze tube, 2 ml.

Do I only need to treat one side and then reconnect them, right?

Z cars are great cars. Never had the pleasure of owning one; however, my friends have.

The 2 mL squeeze tube will work. I assume you are using the DeoxIT® D-Series at the lights themselves? Or under dash?
For the squeeze tube to work effectively, yes, unplug, apply a small amount, then re-connect.
An alternative solution would be to use one of our D5S-6 sprays (available on our site, https://caig.com/ or at many local or online retailers), then you would not have to disconnect the connection. Just extend straw and spray just a small amount (1 sec spray) into connection.
The spray will allow the DeoxIT® to get into connection and treat both sides.
