Q: (19332)

Which product is best for cadmium or nickel-zinc plated surfaces? Do they remove oxides and to treat and protect without damaging the plating?

Morning David,

Our DeoxIT® products will not harm the plating.
The DeoxIT® D-Series will remove oxidation and corrosion off the surfaces and improve the conductivity characteristics.
It however, may not remove all of the discoloration due to tarnishing of the metals. This may take a bit longer. Other aggressive cleaners may remove discoloration, however, they will damage the plating.
